Event name:	Living with Contact

Description:	Almost all contemporary adoptions now include, as a minimum, letterbox contact, with many encompassing visiting contact with siblings, parents or extended family members. This workshop will consider the realities of living with such forms of contact for adoptive parents and foster carers and address the following questions: How can these arrangements be better managed? How can children’s behaviours following contact be understood and contained? When is contact too much or not enough? This day is an opportunity for adopters and carers to openly discuss their dilemmas and difficulties with contact in a supportive environment with other parents.
