You can add a link from your website that will run a search on Social Care Online. For example, if you have a web page on adoption and you want to provide a link to the latest material on Social Care Online that relates to adoption you can use:

http://www.scie-socialcareonline.org.uk/externalsearchscie.asp?keyword=adoption

The basic link is made up of the following URL:

http://www.scie-socialcareonline.org.uk/externalsearchscie.asp?

Add to this your search criteria, including:

keyword=
author=
title=
publicationdate=
journaltitle=

To use more than one field use the '&'.

Replace all spaces with '%20'.

To search for an full name author use 'surname&firstname'.

Browse the topic tree to find keywords or view the topic tree heirarchy.

Example:

http://www.scie-socialcareonline.org.uk/externalsearch.asp?keyword=child%20care&publicationdate=2004

This will produce a list of results that have Child Care as a topic and a publication date of 2004.
